2020 Season update

In the aftermath of the events related to COVID-19 which is currently hitting us, several pieces of information are circulating left and right concerning the 2020 baseball season. We understand that several questions have been raised following the various announcements by the Government of Quebec in connection with holding sporting events. Note that the government has clarified that recreational activities – such as minor baseball – are not covered by this new directive.
At this point, we take it for granted that the season is not canceled. We invite everyone in the community not to jump to conclusions too quickly and to remain positive about the 2020 baseball season.
The Provincial Federation is in constant contact with government authorities and updates will be made over the next week regarding the 2020 baseball season. The Covid-19 situation changes rapidly forcing the Federation to modify at the same rate the solutions to resume the activities of our members.
We will keep you informed as soon as the Provincial Federation informs us of the various developments on its side.
In the meantime, we must respect the instructions in order to return to the baseball fields as soon as possible this summer.
